Each page is brightly illustrated with a different animal family surviving everyday life with their young. It's not  all work though and some of the sweet rewards of parenthood like the giggles and smiles are included towards the end of the book. It finishes with a sweet, but simple message..."Babies are boring...but if I have to be bored, I'm glad it's by you!"
