Mtoto means child in Swahili. Toto Knits features fabulous hand knit children's wear from Kenya, each piece created with love and designed to be as hard working as your little one. Inspired by their surroundings in the African bush all of their clothing embodies a sense of whimsy that makes them as fun as they are stylish.

All of Toto Knit's knitwear is ethically produced in Kenya by a group of local women, with all of the materials locally grown, hand spun and dyed. It all began in 2002 when a friendship between two women helped an idea blossom into a business that now provides a valuable opportunity for Kenyan women to gain financial independence while working around their family commitments.
